Find an answer below, or reach out by email.
Where do I find decks to study? Open the Store tab to browse curated decks by category, then tap Save to add one to My decks. You can also create your own from the + button on the Decks tab.
What card types are supported? Three: Flip (classic Q&A), Cloze (fill-in-the-blank), and Multiple Choice. You can mix card types within a single deck.
What study modes are there? Play (flip-through), Quiz (scored self-test), SRS review (only the cards due today), and Exam mode (timed, with a final score report).
How do I generate a deck with AI? On the Decks tab, tap + then Create with AI. Choose a topic, paste text, upload a PDF or Word/PowerPoint file, take a photo of your notes, or paste a URL. Each generation costs Flash Credits; the cost is shown before you confirm.
What is Explain this card? When you flip a card to the answer, tap Explain for a tutor-style breakdown of why the answer is what it is. Costs 1 Flash Credit.
How does Chat with deck work? Open a deck’s detail screen and tap Chat. You can ask questions about the material, ask the AI to quiz you, or get hints. Each message costs 1 Flash Credit (or is included in your Pro allowance).
Why was an answer flagged as possibly wrong? AI explanations occasionally flag a card’s answer as incorrect when it’s actually fine — particularly with class-specific terminology. Treat AI output as a study aid, not the source of truth.
How do I get more Flash Credits? Three ways: buy a credit pack from the wallet (Apple App Store / Google Play), refer a friend (15 credits to each of you when they sign up and study), or wait for the monthly refresh on the 1st of the month (5 credits, free).
A purchase didn’t add credits to my balance. Open More → Wallet and pull-to-refresh. If credits are still missing after a few minutes, email us with the receipt and we’ll investigate.
Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
How do I delete my account? More → Security → Delete my account. Your decks, study history, Flash Credits balance, and subscription record are removed within 30 days. Cancel any active App Store / Play Store subscription separately.
How do I download my data? More → Security → Download my data. You’ll receive a JSON archive by email.
How do I move my decks to a new phone?
More → Backup & restore → Back up my decks exports a .flashfocus file. Share it to your new device (AirDrop, email, cloud), then Backup & restore → Restore from a backup on the new device. Free for everyone, your own decks only.
Can I send a backup to a friend? No. Backup files are scoped to the account that created them, so they can’t be used to share decks across accounts.
I’m not getting study reminders. Make sure notifications are enabled for FlashFocus in your device settings, and that you’ve set your study times in More → Notification settings.
Reminders come at the wrong time. Reminders use your device’s local time zone. Update your study times in-app if your routine has changed.
